THE PROJECT
MORE AND MORE, OUR SOCIETY TENDS TO BE OVER-CONNECTED TO EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE AND AT ANY TIME.
THE RESULT IS CRITICAL : YOUNGSTERS ARE SUFFERING MORE AND MORE FROM LONELINESS.
NUMEROUS STUDIES & INVESTIGATIONS PROVE IT, WHICH IS WHY IT IS TIME TO ACT !
THE PROJECT : THE CIRCLE FAMILY
Created in 2019, The Circle Project is a non-profit organization that works against youth loneliness. Many young people, aged between 9 and 13, are suffering from loneliness, especially at school. This phenomenon is intensifying with the increasing use of new technologies and the individualization of today’s society. Loneliness is not just a "slump", it is a disease with many side effects that can be serious. That is why it is necessary to approach this subject seriously, thoughtfully and with the help of professionals.
For this reason, our team has worked with professionals from the medical and educational world to help parents whose child suffers from loneliness. We have started our project in France and then we expanded our activity in Europe. In the long term, we want to have an international presence in order to curb loneliness among young people as much as possible.
We must not allow this subject to remain taboo: we must dare to talk about it and dare to ask for help. This platform is intended to be educational and interactive in order to best meet your expectations.
THE (HARD) TRUTH
77%
OF FRENCH PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY FELT LONELY AT ONE POINT.
44%
OF FRENCH PEOPLE OFTEN FEEL LONELY.
1% OF THE FRENCH GDP:
That is the global cost of curing loneliness in France.
Loneliness does not affect a particular country or geographical area; it is present everywhere and affects all ages.
In 2018, thanks to Prime Minister Theresa May, the United Kingdom was the first country to create a ministry specifically dedicated to solitude. In addition, numerous studies have recently shown that the more developed a country is and connected to the rest of the world, the higher the loneliness rate.
Thus, according to these studies, this disease would tend to increase within the next few decades. However, there are solutions and, unlike other diseases, we can prevent its emergence and development.
